Hi all,

We have having a severe performance degradation on our MySQL Server on Fedora Core-4. It is Dell 2850 with RAID-5 on Perc 4e and seems like its churning the machine. If we shut doen MySQL the performance comes up.

We are thing of moving to more robust machine or H/W. We are thinking for two things.

Either a Cluster OR
Have system with Fiber SAN Attached to it.

also moving it to x64 architecture.

Please let me know your thoughts what would be best. For Cluster what is best Solution.

and what would be best for Fiber SAN. We are also thinking in terms of lesser capital investment.

Thanks in advance.
