Re: Mysql + RedHat Cluster + GFS

Hi all,

Im using a similar setup with 3 nodes and one storage server, exporting it via gnbd. We run mysqld-max 5.0.20 with the data on a gfs filesystem, and external locking. Seems to work fine, but the performance is about 40 times slower compared to a standalone mysqld with its data on a local ext3 fielsystem.

What would be the best way to increase our performance? We are thinking about using software based iscsi instead of gnbd to export the data.
Or should we forget about these software based solutions and just buy a san?

Best regards,
Sander van Beek
