I recommend against using different tables or different databases for essentially the same data. But I do not have a compelling reason.
* The code is messy to have to construct the table names (or database names).
* There is no performance advantage.
* If you have more than, say, 50,000 tables in one database, the Operating System will slow down -- it is not designed to be efficient with lots of files in one directory.
OTOH, WordPress does such.
