Generated Field vs Field plus Trigger
Hi,
I have a table on which I am using several generated fields. These fields are all computed from fields within the same record and are all stored fields (not virtual). The generated fields are used for dashboard / statistical measures.
I am now wondering as a best practice is the use of a generated field prefered over a static field updated by a insert / update trigger on the field they are dependent upon.
Any thoughts, insights or opinions would be much appreciated,
