THe way I do it is to hold your original structure int eh mysql Comments, so you can write another program to convert it back perfectly since the fields don't match up. If its more of a permanent change you would be well off to make a ShortName to LongNameInSql 1:1 table so you can convert fields from multiple databases easily without having to remember .. What did I name Customer Name in the other table?
