sicurezza database

Ciao a tutti.

Avrei la necessita di leggere da una app (android, iphone) e da una pagina web in php alcune tabelle del database interno alla lan e che contiene i dati aziendali.

Potreste aiutarmi, dal punto di vista della sicurezza a dimensionare l'infrastruttura ?
In pratica, cosa devo prevedere e che regole
