Problem with MySQL WorkBench

I'm using MySQL WorkBench 8.0.18.
since yesterday I can no longer complete the code of a Stored Procedure as often the application freezes, hourglass and in the top left corner appears the message 'My SQL WorkBench (not responding)'. The application is unusable it is necessary to kill it and restart but in this case I loss all the code changed.
Could you please help me
