unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts

I am connecting to via VB.NET and the MySQL connector. Each night my business runs a process that loops through records to update tables in the database, up until recently this process has been running fine. It is a back process.

I had a network guy come in recently and set my server up with Terminial Services and since them when I run this process after so many records (random) I get a 'unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts' error and the process fails.

I know the connectivity is there because I can go into other parts of the software and it brings back all the data just fine. I know it's not a code issue as my developer can run this process in his own local environment just fine.

Please give me some direction.
