Hello,
I would like to know how it is possible to contribute to Mysql.

I'm using the Mysql free version since 1997, and I would like to continue.
Since 2 years, the dotNet framework is growing and many Enterprise Project are done with it.
But there is a big problem with Mysql and dotNet Framework : For enterprise project we usually need distributed transaction, which Mysql Server implements, but not the Connector/NET. Because of that, for some months, on each dotNet project I've to use Microsoft SQL Server, and leave Mysql on the side.

So, I would like to change the game and make Mysql ready for Distributed Transaction in the dotNet world. To do so, I've got financial and time resources. I've already started to study what changes are need to be done in the Connector/Net provider.

But I really don't know how it is possible to contribute source code in Mysql Community. Could you, please, inform me about contribution rules.

Thanks
Cyrille
