Integrity constraint violation

I've a table with two primary keys, inserting a row that alredy exists I got a Integrity constraint violation.

This is good but is there a way to not show the error and notify the insert failure?

I think of a user try to insert a record reciving the message:

Sorry, the record alredy exists.

Is this possible?
