Re: Any plans on supporting FULL-TEXT index, per-table tablespaces and partitioning?

We will be supporting explicit named tablespaces before the Falcon beta, possibly in a month or so. That said, for most applications, multiple Falcon tablespaces will probably be a bad idea.

The idea of MySQL adopting the Falcon concept of full text search isn't even up in the air yet. Ever try to convince a SQL guy that the SQL interface is less than perfect or that some important problems can't be solved with another SQL operator? And even if the cultural issues were bridged, the problem of a single search straddling multiple storage engines is problematic, to say the least.

I'm not a fan of the query cache in either theory or practice. I'd much rather have a proper compiled statement cache. Falcon may support it someday, but then you might win the lottery someday, too. Given my druthers, I'd put my money on the lottery.
