Certainly we'd like to combine the two memory parameters into one, and
equally certainly tuning should be a science and subject to automation.
At the moment, we're still making changes that affect the balance
between the record and page caches. (e.g. grouping writes, improving
blob I/O). When that's stable, we'll need measure performance with
different workloads to establish the rules for scientific tuning.
