Hi Martin,
The mysql.inventory table is the one that handles the agent details. It has values for the host that the mysqld instance is running on and a uuid to identify the specific instance of MySQL to the monitor.
You have to be careful in replicating these values as you will confuse the monitor and end up with errors such as "cloned machine" errors or duplicate errors as a possible problem.
