Hi - here are some general instructions:
1. update the Connector/J driver to mysql-connector-java-5.1.12-bin.jar. It's located in apache-tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib
2. add the plugin, c-java-mysql-enterprise-plugin-1.0.0.42.jar to the same directory as the jdbc driver
3. add the following to apache-tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/config.properties:
additional_jdbc_connection_params=statementInterceptors=com.mysql.etools.jdbc.StatementPerformanceCounters&serviceManagerUrl=http://localhost:8080/&serviceManagerUser=agent&serviceManagerPassword=mysql
4. an agent needs to be monitoring the underlying database. It doesn't need to be on, but it needs to add an entry into the mysql.inventory table.

..so, to answer your question, add it to the connection string in your config.properties file.
