Fabio,

If you're running the application as a service, you'll need to either adjust the values in the registry, or use the instructions in the documentation for Tomcat at http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/windows-service-howto.html to adjust the parameters after it has already been installed.
