not able to create table named position

Hi,

I have installed mySql5.1 on my windows vista machine.
I am not able to create table named position.
wereas i am able to create tables with all sorts of names except position.
i have with positio i am able to create a table
i am getting the following error.

ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'posit
ion(id int8)' at line 1

What is the problem is there some conflict in name of the table.
