Hello everyone,,,

first i 'm glad to be a member in this great forum ,,

i'm a system admin who is trying to do my best, & i have to implement a loadbalancer with HA

i choose to implement it using Ultramonkey (heartbeat-ldirectord)

i will implement this on two servers on apache & mysql Master-Master Active-Passive replication topoligy

the problem i face now is that, how i can direct reads (to mysql) to Active & passive servers while only direct writes (to mysql) to Active server only ????

i just read in a book called "mysql high performance" about a software called "mysql proxy" which can help me in directing reads & writes to the right servers

how i can use mysql proxy to help me in this project ?? is there any tutorial (not mysql proxy manual as i'mnt expert on mysql) which specific to my case ???

i really will apreciate any help that will let me complete the simple project,,

may all accept my best regards,,,
