read write spliting using MySQL Router

As MySQL Proxy is obsolete and Router (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-router/en/) is taking its place, anyone has experience setting up read-write splitting just like using rw-splitting.lua in proxy. I went through MySQL Router documentation and only available option I see is setting "mode" as read-write (for first-available) or read-only (for round-robin) but not sure how write queries can direct to master and read query to slave.

Is there any undocumented feature available or read-write splitting is not an option in MySQL router.
