Lag replication

Hi,

Some days ago, i've setup a dual master replication for our website. Only one mysql server was used, the other one was only there for failover. If the first fails, the second one could handle all requests.
Now i need to load balance (read) requests on both because our load is growing.
But i've got a problem. Sometimes (big) queries takes more than 120 seconds to be replicated on the slave and i sometimes don't have slave up to date.
So imagine i write something on server A and 10 seconds later i read it on server B, but the data is still not replicated ... That's my problem ...
I didn't find informations about that problem on MySQL Proxy website, but do you think my problem will be the same with MySQL Proxy ?
Actually i'm testing MySQL Proxy with 2 nodes and RW splitting but have no idea about replication lag.
Thnak you for your help
