A little help about or using mysql proxy

i'm not fully understand about mysql-proxy for, but i'm trying...

i have installed mysql-proxy on debian lenny using
apt-get install mysql-proxy
all works fine
===============================================================================
root@debian:/usr/lib/mysql-proxy# dpkg -l mysql-proxy
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend

ii mysql-proxy 0.8.0-1.2 high availability, load balancing and query

i have mysql-server on other host on freebsd(192.168.1.6)
what should i do next...
