From Workbench to MySQL Database

I created a database in MySQL Workbench. I do a File>Export>Forward Engineer as SQL CREATE Script.

I then open up MySQL Administrator. Go to Restore, load up my .sql file, and this error pop's up "The selected file was generated by mysqldump and cannot be restored by this application."

How do I put my brand new database into MySQL to use?

And to also help me later on, how do I alter an already used database?
