Views and Routines

Dear Friends,

I have a few question concerning mysql's views and stored procedures:

1. what is the difference between a view and a routine?

2. "Routine" - so are stored procedures called inside MySQL Workbench.
- Is this the correct name?

3. Can I use views inside of a stored procedure (routine)?

4. When there are routines - why should I use views at all?

5. How can I determine if the mysql-server of my provider
has the right version for using routines and views?

6. I heard of several issues when using a stored procedure.
Can I use stored procedures in a production environment
and are they designed for it?

Thank you for your answers
With best regards
