1:n Identifying keys

I have a series of tables that are an inverted tree in the example Project is the start. When I link the table in a Model Diagram it appears to add the key to the higher table (one it links to) placed in the table that has the many side of the relationship.

For example, in the tables listed below the DROPS table will have its own key as part of a compound key where the Project, Residence, Rooms, Walls primary keys are added.
Is this correct?
are the individual fields of the Compound Primary key accesable??

Project
Residence
Rooms
Walls
Drops
