hello,
i am new to mysql and looked online for a book or 2 that would get me up and running, so to speak.

what i need to be able to do in mysql, is create queries. i have browsed through the mysql workbench manual, but didn't see enough detail on creating queries and being able to create a script to backup all of the tables in a database, then run the script to restore the database.

i have the mysql software installed

i have used sql server and can create queries and create a script.

while some of these books are a little old, i don't know if that makes a lot of difference

any help would be greatly appreciated
thank you
