How to change font colors in MySQL Workbench editor in MacOS?

Hello,
I was trying to change the color of different segments (comments, statements, col names, etc.) in the workbench eidtor. I tried to modify the options in the "Appearences" settings, but that doesn't seem to work. Also I tried but failed to find the "code_editor.xml" file as described from other forums, so can anyone please help me with the matter please? Thank you.
