in the meantime we've added connections-symbols as child-nodes for tables in the layer-pane. This way one can easily select connections, even if they're disabled. This will be included in the upcoming release (5.0.27) this week.
Thanks for your proposal - i'll keep that on our list as feature request. There's a small problem with that (and propably the reason why we haven't thought of doing it this way). That is, a table-editor can be invoked/open for tables which aren't placed on any canvas. Means a constraint listed on a FK-tab in a table editor does not necessarily mean there's always a connection-figure existing ... the Delete function in that place is about deleting the FK in the first place (which of course also removes an existing connection line for that FK).
