If you have excel -> Database -> excel conversion then you are able to sync Database with WB document.
I mean do not import script to Workbench directly. Import it to MySQL server and synchronize WB document to that server. OS version is more preferable for that but OSS should work either.
Another approach could be writing plugin which updates existing objects based on Excel document.
