I was having the same problem on a fresh install of MySQL and Workbench 5.0 30 OSS on Vista Home Premium. Debug showed me that it was a DEP issue. Switching to the classic theme resolved the issue. I can live without the Vista theme. thanks for posting your solution. - Bob
