Will we ever get OpenGL or other good rendering?

Hi All,

I have been using Workbench SE for a while now, and love it, except for the painfully slow rendering.

I understand there is a problem with the code, but it has been this way for half a year or more.

Will we ever have a palate that doesn't make my nice fast computer feel like a 286 choking on a 3d, accelerated, game rendering system?
