Tool comparison - MySQL vs MS SQL Server?

I work for a software company, and today our application leverages SQL Server and MS SQL Server Management Studio to assist with database management tasks.

We are strongly considering switching our back end to MySQL, but are quite concerned that we won't have the ease of use, mangement, troubleshooting, and tuning that we currently enjoy on the Microsoft solution. As a result, we are uncertain about the feasibility of using MySQL to solve our business problems.

I am interested in finding out:
a) How do your current offerings for management tools stack up against the feature set of Microsoft's tools, and
b) What do you plan to tackle first to close the gap between the Microsoft tools and yours?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Tom Cooper
