Re: Plugin system changed?

I just found that out. The plugins I installed are placed in

Dokumente und Einstellungen\UserName\Anwendungsdaten\MySQL\Workbench\modules

TALK ABOUT UNEXPECTED!

I had two parallel installations of 5.0 and 5.1 and I was wondering what the heck was going on. I deleted the plugins from the local installs' dirs and the plugins didn't disappear.

What's the matter of plugins if they have to be installed? I don't like this extra step of installing. You might have reasons for this.

Anyway, offering a local modules directory and then actually storing/copying them to some other dir seems awkward. Furthermore it makes parallel installations with their own module versions impossible? At least it's a shared module location.

Isn't there a better way?

Karsten
