Connecting to DB server in LAN
Hello,
I am having trouble connecting to my mysql server which is on the same LAN.
The server is debian lenny, mysql: 5.0.51a-24+lenny1
The workstation is ubuntu, with Workbench 5.1.16 OSS.
I try setting the connection under Database -> Manage connections
I enter the IP, port, username and password (other is default).
When I test the connection, I get this error message:
Test connection failed, Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111
Any clues what is causing this? :)
