MySQL treats BOOL as an alias to TINYINT(1):

mysql> create table test (a bool);
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.08 sec)

mysql> desc test;
+-------+------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
| Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra |
+-------+------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
| a | tinyint(1) | YES | | NULL | |
+-------+------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
1 row in set (0.09 sec)

Therefore we have to treat that the same way, otherwise you get spurious conflicts during synchronization.
