Workbench drops entire database any help please

Hi There,
Extremely frustrated here 30-40's of hours of lost work trying out workbench for the first time!
Opened workbench from the menu clicked database->synchronize model selected my database once the wizard was finished the entire database was lost!!!
Its gone... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have no backup of db.
