Hi Shida,

the login for the MySQL server differs from that of your laptop. So usually you have different username + pw combinations. If you haven't set a pw at installation time then don't use one when you create the server instance. However, the error message does not say anything about failed login, just a can't connect. That seems to indicate your server isn't running. Check your services. WB can also be used with a not-running server to start it up. Simply set up your connection (even if it does not work) and create the server instance. Open this and go to the Startup / Shutdown screen.
