the problems seem to stem from bundling WB with WAMP. It shouldn't be that way. But this is a responsibility of the WAMP maintainers. So talk with them and show what problems this bundling produces.
In any case, however, you should not lose your models. Just store them in a folder outside of the application folder. I would be very surprised if the WAMP (un)installer would remove those too.
