Provided you have defined a connection to your server you can open that connection and will get an SQL editor along with other stuff (like a schema tree showing the schemas and other objects you are allowed to see, an output area, context help and others). In this SQL editor simply enter the query and click on the flash button in the toolbar above the editor (or press Control+Enter, Mac: Command+Enter) to run the query.
