I am also experiencing constant crashes after upgrading from ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. I am running Workbench 6.3.7 Build 1199 64bits.
It's hard to give more information on the crashes because it constantly crashes, I didn't manage to work with it more than 10 minutes in a row.
It usually crashes when sending queries to the server. It can happen with very basic select queries with limit set to 50.
