Can't connect when password not in vault

I've recently reinstalled my Windows and started with a fresh copy of Workbench 6.3. I'm trying to connect using the "Standard TCP/IP over SSH" method. The issue is that it works when I store the password in Vault, but it doesn't when I don't store the password and try to enter it manually (which is what I want to do, I use KeePass for better security).

The error message is:

Your connection attempt failed for user 'root' from your host to server at xyz.amazonaws.com:3306:
Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061)

That "127.0.0.1" part looks wrong as there's something else in the MySQL Hostname field - it's the xyz.amazonaws.com hostname.

It looks like a bug since it works just fine when the same password is stored in vault.
