Hi :
Just in case you still need the solution, i solved this issue with the following steps
- Go to Ubuntu Software
- Search for the MySQL Workbench Community app
- Click Permissions
- Turn ON Read, add, change, or remove saved passwords
After this change i was able to connect to the MySQL Server.
