Connecting Workbench to remote database server.
I have a linux (Ubuntu) work station in my home2 location with a NAT router to access the internet. I have a linux OpenSUSE headless server in my home1 location with, yet another, NAT router to access the internet. Router in home1 is port forwarding the ip address of the headless server. I can remote into the server using ssh. From the existing terminal session I can log into my mysql server. Problem is that I can not get access to the mysql server using Work Bench on my workstation. I keep receiving the "Failed to Connect to MySQL at xxx.xxx.com:3306 through SSH tunnel at
username@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with user --- Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet' system error:0
What am I doing wrong or possibly have failed to configure?
