MySQL Database via MySQL Workbench will not accept original password set-up for user root.
The server is not running as Local instance 3306. root and localhost:3306 are indicated when accessed via MySQL Workbench. Activity Monitor - Processes only shows MySQL Workbench running.
There are no remote accesses involved.
When trying to connect the usual pop-up comes up:
Service: Mysql@localhost:3306
User: root
Password:
Enter password and no errors except another pop-up, e.g. Service, User and Password
Infinite Loop
Is it possible to change password?
