Mac M1 ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file

Hi team,
I'm a new user to MySQL, using Macbook M1 chip
I downloaded Community lates ARM version and MySQL Workbench ARM version as well.
The server never ran in my laptop neither when I tried 'mysql.server start' in the terminal nor starting MySQL server in the System Settings.
Please help.

I see below error when I enter command in the shell 'mysql.server start'

ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file

I tried

sudo chown -R mysql:mysql /usr/local/mysql
sudo chmod -R 777 /usr/local/mysql

and started reboot yet still not working.
