ALTER column erased table

I attempted to change a MEDIUMTEXT field to a JSON field, and my table now is gone. I looked at the data folder and there are two sets of .frm and .ibd files "#sql2-28d0-51" and "#sql-28d0_51".

I tried to recreate the table and import both of the ibd files using discard and import tablespace, but the table is still gone.

This is my first time using MySQL. I did not know how to make backups before, so I hope the data is still recoverable.
