Critical error in data recovery
Hi everybody,
Recently, my Forum got an error, so I call my host administrator to recover the last MySQL database backup. What happended, in the words of the host admin, is that the dump got an error in one of the tables, and so doesn't continue recovering the rest. Conclusion, I have now strong chances to lose 8 thousands of members and more than 150 thousands of posts on my Forum.
As he is the server admin, I've excluded all the 'easy' solutions, like open the file and edit the problematic table, so what can I do (or better, what can I tell the server admin to do)? I only know that the backup are remote, and because of the dump error, the final file only have the tables until the problematic one, and not all of them.
Thanks for any help, and sorry for poor English.
Carlos
