[solved] dumping data offline
Hello,
I have a database all tables in myisam format. The tables were all properly closed, the disk was properly unmounted and shutdown. Trouble is the harddisk with the program crashed while the database was off. This means that all my data is intact and not corrupt, but I can not access it.
I tried simply plugging it into mysql on another server, but the server does not start and gives no warnings.
So how do I take a directory full of MYD MYI and frm files and convert it to a mysql dump so I can reimport it into a new database?
This is a personal project that will never make a penny, that means that I do not have money to pay expensive software or support packages.
Thanks,
David
