Database Recovery

Hello-

I have recovered a database from a failed hard drive and am trying to revive it on a new system. I have installed MySQL, copied over the folder containing the FRM, MYI, and MYD as well as the ibdata1 file. I changed permissions on the restored files for my system and restarted MySQL. I can login to MySQL, switch to the database, and see all the tables but when I attempt to query or any repair I recieve "table 'blah' doesn't exist. Is there something I'm missing in the restore? Is there anyway to salvage to the data? Hope all is well and thanks in advance.
