Restoring a mysql db

Hi,
I was given a mysql db dump ( .sql file) to be restored on a new host, but when I try to import it via phpmyadmin I get an error:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'acciaio al mondo [...]

Of course there's a ' next to acciaio that disrupts the import. I fix it, the next text with an ' would break it again. File is 38K+ lines long, so manually parsing everything is a very daunting task.

There's a way - after they've exported the db without "escaping" (don't know proper term, sorry) apostrophes - to fix it without manually parsing it?
