That's helpful, thank you. Unfortunately, I am not management and make no hiring decisions. So I'm stuck with the problem, and have to find some resolution.
Restoring from backup would normally have been an excellent decision, but is not possible in this particular instance. Management insists on 0 data loss, even though that has never been a policy before this. I had resolved the issue, but with a 2 day data loss. That was deemed completely unacceptable. So, yeah.
