problem with MySQL Connector/C++ on Windows

I want to connect MySQL form Visual C++ 2008 in Windows. So, I am trying to install MySQL Connector/C++. I installed MySQL Connector/C++ for Windows MSI version. When I try to compile the connector using CMake, its failing with the message "CMakeList.txt not found". My question is, "what is CMakeList.txt, and how can I get this?" . If you have any suggestion for connection MySQL from Visual C++, please let me know.
